The expiration date of the current 1.0.11 beta version has been extended to April 20, 2007. Please download the new copy from the downloads section and reapply the patch as well. We are extending the date because we still have to fix some issues with 1.0.12 which, we are happy to announce, will be the final release. Thank you for your patience and support, we hope the upcoming release will satisfy many of you awaiting for the new features...

Patch 1.0.11.1 is now available for download. It fixes the problems associated with Mac OS X 10.3, the Unicode problems in packaged applications, and provides Edit menu functionality inside the application packager text panes.

Ambrai Smalltalk 1.0.11 Beta8 is now available for download. This release includes the stand-alone application packager. Additionally, the resource manager can now find localized files and strings in Smalltalk packages in addition to application bundles.

Ambrai Smalltalk 1.0.10 Beta7 is now available for download. This release includes an object serializer and several database framework improvements, such as unicode text, binary data (blobs), and test suites for PosgreSQL, MySQL, and SQLite.

Ambrai Smalltalk 1.0.9 Beta6 is now available for download. This is a minor release including the color dialog, font panel, and continuations support. The continuations code and tests are provided in the packages folder.

Ambrai Smalltalk 1.0.8 Beta5 is now available for download. It includes an Xml parser with Sax and Dom interfaces. Additionally, Smalltalk code can be executed with root privileges and Smalltalk code can also be executed from the application services menu.

Ambrai Smalltalk 1.0.6 Beta3 is now available for download. Changes include the ability to subclass arbitrary Objective-C classes and the ability to implement methods in these classes. Come see us on October 14th at the next Smalltalk User Group meeting in Toronto (TSUG). We will introduce the new features in the upcoming beta two release, most notably Quartz graphics, Carbon and Cocoa integration, plus the C and Objective-C interfaces.
